Every pupil swam their best for their patrol
The inter-patrol swimming galas are exciting events and as usual the watching crowds responded - roaring, clapping and encouraging from the pool side. The galas mark the end of the swimming season and every pupil in Year 3-8 swims their best for their patrol.
Senior Gala
Throughout the gala it wasn’t clear who was going to inch ahead… until the very end. In first place, with 109 points, were the TIGERS! Well done to our Year 5-8 winners of ‘most improved’ and ‘fastest swimmer’ (across four strokes). Congratulations to Valentina on being named Swimmer of the Year.
Junior Gala
The Junior Gala stunned with many close races. The Junior Gala included raft races and relay races across the width of the pool to ensure every pupil could feel the buzz of competing and trying hard for their patrol. It was close again. Joint second place for Panthers and Otters, but leaping into the lead were the OWLS! Well done to all the most improved swimmers and fastest swimmers in these year groups.
