Hello, My name is Maya.
Hello, My name is Maya.
I arrive at nursery and I can’t wait to get busy. There are lots of different activities, games and places to explore. Look, I’ve already been to the shop.
We all sit together, say hello and sing our morning song. Afterwards, Mrs Grout writes our names up and we tell her how we are feeling today. Most of us were happy today but Otto was feeling a bit tired.
We can choose to play inside and outside. I like to play outside in the secret garden. We are growing beans and there are spades so we can dig and help out in the garden.
We did some pond dipping to see if the tadpoles have grown any legs yet.
We had our snack outside because it was a sunny day. We wait our turn and pour ourselves a glass of milk. Today, we had slices of peach, banana and apple.
We go outside to the Pre-Prep playground and play in the castle and in the sand pit, ride on trucks, and make up our own games in the grasses.
We are learning the letter J this week and we went outside to do some things that begin with J like jogging and jumping. Whilst we were there we did some rolling, baby yoga and balancing. Tomorrow we are going to make j-j-j jelly.
I go to Forest School and like searching for mini beasts. When I’m a bit older I will go swimming too. Here is a photo of nursery children in the school swimming pool with our special instructors.
I love role-play. Here I am washing my baby with my best friend.
We walk up to lunch with all the nursery children as well as the older Pre-Prep children. We sit on tables together and Mrs Grout serves us lunch that is cooked by the chef. Today it was roast chicken, carrots and potatoes followed by some fruit.
Something magical has happened: our pretend ice creams made out of crunched up tissue paper in our ice cream van had turned into real ice creams! What a treat.
I go home and I say ‘see you tomorrow’ to my friend Otis, who stays until 3.15pm.
