Year 2's Mr Bailey has been leading pupils through some wonderful writing processes this term. Inspired by Roald Dahl's George's Marvellous Medicine, our six and seven year olds have written poems, recipes, character descriptions, come up with wonderful adjectives, alliterations, onomatopoeias and similes. As Mr Bailey - story teller extraordinaire - reaches the final chapters of the book, the children have been making adverts for their own invented marvellous medicine.
Be Warned! You might be tempted to buy lots of bottles of Olive's Lightening Liquid after watching the below advert.
Year 2 has also been studying Africa, including learning about the layers you find in rainforests and the animals that live there. You can see a few examples of their work in the gallery below.
The below children were given WOWs for their work. The children were chosen for demonstrating the values and attitudes linked to High Performance Learning in their work. Well done to
- Isaac and Monty
- Millie and Arabella
- Alina and Lucy
- George and Olive
Mr Bailey added: "Each week it has been very hard to choose as the children have all engaged fantastically with the classroom lessons and activities."
