As part of the topic Commotion in the Ocean, Year 1 are learning about rockpools, sea creatures, oceans of the world and plastic pollution.
They went on a fantastic trip to the beautiful, local beach at East Head. They learnt about the tides and took part in a sandcastle building competition so that they could track the movement of the tide. It was a chilly day and so they warmed up with hot chocolate having made some wonderful beach art to complement their sandcastles.
