The Westbourne team came 2nd & Toby B won the best individual score (Gross 74) at the Whitgift Junior Golf Competition.
The Westbourne House U13A golf team competed in the Whitgift Open at Croham Hurst Golf Course. The main event was a handicap competition, with the best two Stapleford scores, out of the team of three, being added together to find the winning team.
Westbourne's combined total of 83 (Toby B 44 + Freddie G 39 =83), placed the team in second place behind the winners - Bickley Park with 85 points. If the competition was based on the average or total of each of the three players then Westbourne would have easily won as William F scored 37 points. As the scores indicate all the boys played very well.
In addition to the main competition the prize for the best Gross score was easily won by Toby B with a very impressive round of 74, with the next best player scoring 82. He also won a prize for the longest drive - 275 yards!
