Our Year 2 pupils loved becoming Victorians for the day at the Weald and Downland museum. They realised how tough life was when they were tasked with carpet beating, polishing, ironing and cooking over an open fire.
Next was a lesson in the Victorian classroom with an extremely strict teacher who made them write on slate: ‘Children should be seen and not heard!’
Year 2 teacher, Mrs Temple, said: "After that they decided that it was much better being a child these days!!"
