Caterpillar Diaries
Our caterpillars arrived in Year 2 at the beginning of term and the children have watched them avidly, keeping a diary of their changes over the last few weeks from tiny caterpillar to chrysalis to the eagerly awaited arrival of the butterflies. Once the recent winds abated, we were able to observe them outside before setting them free in our beautiful grounds.
Canoeing Progress
Year 2 have continued their canoeing and amazingly, have managed to dodge most of this term’s rain!
Mr Knight has been very impressed with the children’s progress. They are now organising themselves quickly and efficiently into the canoes, and have learned to paddle in unison which means we can travel across the lake at a good speed. Finding baby ducks and birds nesting has been a highlight, as was towing a fallen branch out of the water!
