Year 3 enjoyed several happy afternoons canoeing on the lake this summer. Our beautiful grounds allow us such rich and exciting experiences and great fun was had by all.
Progress through the canoeing skills now enables the children to canoe in threes and fours where they have to work together and communicate well to make good progress around the lake.
Mrs Pitman said: “The children are naturally competitive and they quickly learnt that the more they cooperated the quicker they went! They were very encouraging to one another, which was lovely to see. I also enjoyed watching the Canoe Club children imparting their knowledge. They definitely led the way.”
So what did the children who joined us in Year 3 think? “This is amazing,” said Rocky.
