Fancy skiing? Sailing? Climbing the tallest climbing wall in the south? Cycling the velodrome? These Year 8 children threw themselves into these activities and more on their final Westbourne Award!
"What a cracking week Year 8 have had! Blessed with stunning weather, awesome activities and plenty of downtime with friends on the beach. A Westbourne Award residential presents many different challenges and I have been so impressed with how Year 8 have embraced them all. The cycling velodrome has been a huge hit, a unique opportunity to cycle at pace on a challenging circuit, the only one in the South of England. Wednesday afternoon saw the whole year group on the water either kayaking or windsurfing. We were lucky to have some top conditions and our wind surfing instructor made a point of telling us how impressed he was with their progress in such a short space of time. The staff have really enjoyed hanging out with this cohort, it has been a really special time and a fitting end to their Westbourne House School journey."
