Two chess competitions at a nearby Prep School for our young chess players
Our chess players have enjoyed the opportunity to compete twice this term.
The first match involved Charlie W, Lucas M, Jamie R and Harry B. The team did admirably coming away with a mix of losses, wins and draws, and with second place overall.
The second match, a week later, we put out two teams who went into different rounds and so both had the chance to win.
- Team A: Charlie W, Andrew X, Angus M, Darcy G
- Team B: Filip A, Jack J, Bertie D, George H
Brilliantly we placed first in both teams and team B impressively won 11.5/12 games (one match being a draw which receives a half point).
- Team A topped their group on the day despite some losses - it was close! Well done to Darcy and Andrew for winning three out of three.
- Team B had wins and one draw. Well done to Bertie, George, Jack and Filip - it was a dominating performance.
