Year 3 have received their marching training from Marcus Julius Britannicus from Leg II. He came to tell the children all about his life as a Legionary soldier in the Roman Army.
Marcus began by explaining how the Roman Army was so successful in conquering so many countries. He talked all about his uniform, armour and equipment as well as his weapons and battle strategy.
He brought so many interesting artefacts for the children to look at and they had very many questions for him.
We hope you enjoy their marching practice and their change of direction on the march.
