End of an era for music department

It was the end of an era in the Music Department this week, with the departure of our flute teacher Katy Brereton. After 17 years, she leaves us to take up a full-time post with the NHS. Hordes of pupils have benefitted from her superb teaching and kind manner, not to mention her invaluable support on two choir tours. We will miss her hugely, but wish her the best of luck in the next chapter of her life.

Her replacement, Julie Twite, is much in demand as a teacher and performer, and comes highly recommended by Katy herself, so we look forward to welcoming her to the team. Also new to the team are two singing teachers, Andrew Davies and Cheryl Hopley, both of whom are seasoned teachers and performers.
