The highlight of Year 2’s Knights and Princesses Day was an amazing falconry display. Falconry was loved by Mary, Queen of Scots, and King Harold amongst many royals, and our Year 2 queens, kings, princesses and knights followed in these famous footsteps. It was an experience we think they'll never forget.
The children met a Harris's Hawk, a kestrel, Buzbee the most beautiful Barn Owl and a powerful and fast flying peregrine falcon, whose top speed is 240mph! Thank you to Kevin from Hawking About for sharing his knowledge and love of these majestic birds.
