The Reception children were so excited about their first off-site visit. As part of their topic ‘Roots, shoots and juicy fruits’ the children have been learning about what animals need in order to grow and so the Reception team set out for Staunton Farm for some hands-on experience of feeding a range of animals including sheep, goats and two very inquisitive cows!
Although the visit took place on a particularly rainy day, the children’s enthusiasm and excitement certainly brightened everyone’s day. Muddy boots, shouts of “best day ever!” and lots of smiles made for a wonderful outing for the children.
