What do Boggle, Rapid Rumble and 5 Alive have in common? These games were carefully selected by the academic team for two reasons: they are great fun to play and they are fantastic preparation for our Year 6 children for their November ISEB Pre-Tests to senior schools.
Clare Mee, English teacher and Head of Assessment, said: “The children were brilliantly engaged as they each played as many as three different games. The games were picked for the way they can help build verbal and non-verbal reasoning skills. The children learnt the games from scratch, working out the rules before playing and finding solutions to any problems they faced along the way. I was really impressed with how on task and focussed they were.”
