At the start of the term the Year 1 children enjoyed the stunning start to their new topic In the Tall, Tall Grass. They were very surprised to receive a package addressed to them. Upon opening it, they found a letter from Jack, a story book and some magic beans to plant and watch grow.
The children observed the beans with great anticipation and it allowed for lots of discussion as to why some beans have grown faster than others. They then recorded their observations in a bean diary before finally taking their plants home to be planted
