We were delighted to see that Composer John Rutter had commented on a Westbourne House film on Youtube.
John Rutter is one of the world's most famous living composers and choral directors. A former Director of Music at Clare College, Cambridge, his music is a favourite of choirs around the globe, including our own Chapel Choir, whose repertoire features a number of his works. This is not the first time that Rutter has heard Westbourne House's Chapel Choir. On a visit to Westbourne House back in 2010, he directed a workshop for pupils and the school’s adult choral society, The Shopwyke Singers.
The film he commented on was made by Year 8 pupil Charlie using footage of Chapel Choir in the hope would lift the spirits of key workers everywhere. You can read the full story here.
Charlie was also featured in the Chichester Observer.
