The Year 4s put on a fabulous production of Jonah and The Whale and wow, what a performance! The cast and crew put awesome energy into their exclusive evening of music theatre as the audience dived straight into their entertaining watery world. The rapturous applause at the end was extremely well deserved.
Mr Cousens, Head of Drama, said: "Year 4 were brilliant to work with and it was terrific to see such wonderful team spirit and togetherness. Whether dancing, singing or speaking, the children engaged with multiple different characters from sunbathing tourists, terrified puffer fish and hideous pirates."
"We hope parents and grandparents enjoyed themselves and our short, fast-paced adventure musical, which created opportunities for both the passionate performer and the more tentative performer to blossom. We simply want the children to enjoy themselves on stage, have a go and taste the incomparable buzz of live musical performance."
One parent said: "It was so joyous I just wanted to get up and dance." Another parent added: "They all knew their lines and their moves - it was amazing to watch."
You can see a clip of one of their pieces in the Music Round-Up.
Congratulations Year 4 and the music, costume and drama teams - what a triumph!
