Kindness Committee sets up kindness rewards system

The Kindness Committee has grown in stature from an idea set up from our whole school kindness focus.
This last week, we presented the Kindness Committee to the school although, unfortunately, a few members were absent. The Kindness Committee is made up of representatives from all year groups from Year 2 upwards.

Emily and Ryder, Year 2 children from the Pre-Prep, attend the meetings in the Prep School and are responsible for presenting the ideas generated by the kindness committee and the kindness rewards system to the Pre-Prep children.

In the Prep School, the committee members’ role is to keep an eye out for genuinely kind acts. Other children can also report kind acts to the committee members. Following this, pending approval by Mr Pitman or Mr Brown, a post card may be sent home to celebrate the positive behaviour of a pupil.

Our teachers are also be looking out for kind and thoughtful behaviour and will give out kindness tokens where kindness is observed. This will help identify the kindest Patrol and is a huge accolade (it is separate from the Patrol Competition).

In the Pre-Prep, the tokens will help identify kind classes amongst our youngest pupils. Thank you to our committee members, who have already played a large part in setting the system up. We look forward to seeing and celebrating kind acts.
