Launch of Wellbeing Hub

As parents, we all have times when we wish we had the answers to parenting challenges. We have partnered with Teen Tips and its founder Alicia Drummond, who has worked with our pastoral team over many years, and one of the brilliant benefits is our Prep School parents have access to the Teen Tips Wellbeing Hub. The Wellbeing Hub is full of sound advice, for parents of children aged 8 upwards, and answers questions such as ‘How can I manage my child’s screen time?’ or 'Is my child getting enough sleep?'.

Sam Pollock, Head of Pastoral Care, said: "This is a project my team and I have been working on for many months.  As a parent, you are automatically a member, which gives you free access to a wealth of resources to support you through these difficult times as well as in the future as your children are growing up."

I just wanted to say thank you so much to Westbourne. I had a 1-2-1 session with Alicia in the summer and she was brilliant and I really appreciate having access to the Wellbeing Hub.

Our priority at Westbourne House is creating an environment that nurtures pupil mental health and wellbeing. Pastoral care is paramount and we are very proud of our bespoke Learning4Life programme that addresses all aspects of this, alongside understanding health and relationship issues. This is filtered down, age appropriately, throughout the entire school with an hour of lesson time a week dedicated to delivering the programme to our children. The Wellbeing Hub will support our Learning4Life programme through a variety of resources for schools.

We have worked with Teen Tips’ founder, Alicia Drummond, for a number of years on pastoral projects and many of our parents and children will have met her at school at workshops. Alicia is a BACP accredited psychotherapist, parent coach, speaker, author and, most importantly, a mother. She works with over a hundred schools delivering talks and workshops to help parents, staff and pupils deepen their understanding of adolescence and promote emotional health and wellbeing.  We are delighted to be strengthening our partnership with her.

The Teen Tips Wellbeing Hub was developed by Alicia with other adolescent mental health and wellbeing experts. As a member, you benefit from:
