A celebration of music and performances by pupils throughout the day
Over 260 performances in a single day—what an incredible achievement! The 2024 Inter-Patrol Instrumental and Singing Competition showcased the immense talent within our community, leaving everyone who participated feeling truly proud.
Adjudicator Jonathan Ling, former Westbourne House teacher and now Director of Music at Christ College Brecon, commended the children for their confidence and impressive sound: "I have loved all your confidence and really big sound!" he told the participants. Mr. Ling, like all our adjudicators, provided wonderful feedback and encouraging advice for the future: "There is no such thing as perfection," he emphasized. "If you make a mistake just carry on – I’m not interested in perfection, I’m interested in how you play the music."
A special thank you goes to our Director of Music, Mr. Dichmont, and his dedicated team for making this celebration of music a reality. Their hard work and passion made this unforgettable day possible. Well done to everyone involved!
