We are extremely lucky that in Year 2 every child is given the opportunity to try a variety of instruments such as flute, clarinet, violin, cello, trumpet, trombone and horn.
Music taster sessions happen throughout the Easter and summer terms to give the children a chance to see what these other instruments sound and feel like. It is a gentle, fun introduction which can help the children to decide if they might like to embark on learning an additional instrument alongside the recorder.
We enjoy encouraging a community of music lovers in the Pre-Prep, many of whom will go on to perform, play, compose, sing and listen to music for years to come.
