Our Reception children (and teachers) are absolutely delighted to be back in school with their friends. During their first week back at school, they drew pictures of themselves with their friends to celebrate a return to collaboration and a renewed awareness of who others are in the school. Working with others, taking others into account and listening are all key empathetic skills that we highlight and encourage as part of our High Peformance Learning framework.
The children have made the most of their fabulous outdoor area come rain or shine and highlights of the past three weeks include writing menus for the mud kitchen, learning new team games, colour mixing, building a bug hotel and simply sharing a laugh with friends. It truly is wonderful to be back together again!
