Each pupil had the opportunity to shine on stage in a night of drama and adventure with Year 5
Year 5 performed three plays linked by islands and adventures - Twelfth Night; Jasmine, Ann and the Argonauts; and Adventure at Pirate School.
Mr Cousens, Head of Drama, said: "It was brilliant and Year 5 gave it their all. They more than rose to the occasion and got behind all the wonderful, hare-brained characters."
The cast of each play drew us in and their attention to the detail, dialogue and disasters was inescapable. "Their enthusiasm was totally infectious," said Mr Pitman, who thoroughly enjoyed the show. "The technical ability of these nine and ten year olds was seriously impressive. The projection of voices and the accuracy of their lines led to a superb performance."
Year 5 certainly made these complicated plays look easy: entrances, exits, movement of props - it all took precision and teamwork.
Thank you to all the parents who helped with hair and makeup, and thank you to the two Year 8 pupils, who worked their magic up in the control box, with sound and lighting.
