Peer mentoring is a big part of life at Westbourne House, especially our programmes which enable the different year groups to help and learn from each other. Year group bubbles make this more complicated - but not impossible.
Our Year 8s have been working together, as part of Westbourne House's very own Gr8 Read, to create a story reading experience for the junior pupils, encourage a love of reading and to show them how to read with expression.
Our Head of Year 8, Mr Cousens, said: "Year 8s would normally read with the Year 3s and 4s. It gives the Year 8 children a lot of satisfaction and boosts their confidence in their own abilities. As you can see here, the Year 8s read the book beautifully and really enjoyed making the stories come to life with fun voices and wonderful expression."
