Our Year 7 pupils took their giant shell sculptures, made out of 'modroc', to West Wittering beach for the photographic element of their shell art project.
“Before getting to the beach, we discussed how the children could make the most of their shell sculpture and this photographic opportunity, such as the use of props, putting the shell into unusual situations and playing with scale by, for example, juxtaposing the shell with a groyne. It was lovely - the children hit the perfect balance between having fun and making the most of this opportunity to take photos of their art at the beach.”

Our Year 7 artists have enjoyed working with modroc, which is a plaster bandage material that is fantastic for modelling and sculpting.
The Year 7 artwork and so much more will be on display at our Summer Art and Technology Exhibition - Weds 7 June to Sat 17 June.
