The Nursery and Reception pupils kicked off the Pre-Prep Sports Day with a brilliant display in their races tackling the obstacle course, water relay and goal kick, before turning their hand (after a big glass of water – wow it was hot) to the beanbag races and the egg and spoon. Their faces of delight as they crossed the finish line, whether racing as fast as their legs could carry them or meandering more slowly in concentration, was something to behold. We especially enjoyed hearing ‘Daddy, Daddy – look at me! Daddy look at me!’ from one very chuffed little athlete.
After picnic lunches, it was time for our Year 1 and 2 pupils to shine on the track! And they did that in style, arriving to pumping music, dancing their way into position and getting the crowd going!
All the children were sporting superstars and thank you as well to the children’s number one fans – the parents and grandparents – for cheering the children on so loudly. We’d also like to thank the Year 7 helpers, who celebrated with the children as they crossed the line and supported the teachers brilliantly.
