A stunning assembly with pupils performing confidently
To tie in with Book Week and Pre-Prep's Around the World in 80 days initiative, our Reception children retold the German story of ‘The Musicians of Bremen’. They all learnt their lines brilliantly and showed great confidence performing in front of their parents. The children also learnt four songs complete with Makaton signs to help tell the story.
A freshly grown snack for Reception
Crisp, sweet-tasting pea shoots made a wonderful snack for the Reception classes. Best of all? They had grown the pea shoots from seed themselves. A snack doesn't get fresher than that!
The pea shoots built on a focus in Reception this term on healthy eating. The Reception children made fruit kebabs and explored pattern and number when constructing the kebabs. Mrs Lewis said: "We also talked about the amounts of fruit pieces and how they made up our kebab." A delicious way to learn!
