With crunchy leaves underfoot at Forest School, the nursery children went searching in the woods for the Gruffalo's treasure. First they met all the characters from The Gruffalo: they found the mouse sitting near a tree, then they found the fox and stumbled across the owl...
On went the children through the deep, dark wood.
The snake was discovered camouflaged in the leaves and sitting on her eggs, which the children carefully collected in a basket and counted together.
Finally, they found the treasure the Gruffalo had hidden for them and they enjoyed guessing what the treasure may be. Would it be nice or would it be yucky? What do you think it was?
