This was an action packed day with all pupils selected to participate in a minimum of two events for their patrol. Each finishing place was worth points with the relays being worth double. Pupils were selected based on how they performed throughout the season and placed in events appropriate to their achievements. I was impressed with their resilience to perform under pressure and in front of a crowd as well as their enthusiasm, determination and good sportsmanship shown by most.
A particular highlight was pupils agreeing to do events, even if they weren’t their favourite, as that was what was best for the patrol. There were only three empty lanes, but I hope for there to be none next year!
There were an incredible 182 Season Best (SB) results in track events and 127 in field events!!! George Baker broke the U10 Boys 1500m School Record by 10 seconds with 5.42. Freddie Gillett equaled the U10 Boys Ball Throw School Record held by Dill Howell with 43.50m. Well done all!
The Tigers claimed victory with a total score of 285 points. In 2nd place were the Otters with 268 points. Panthers came in 3rd with 240 points followed by the Owls with 208 points.
