Senior swim gala sets new school record

This was an exhilarating morning of swimming. On the attached full list of results, green highlighter indicates the personal best times that were achieved today.

Otters had a head start from the beginning due to target time points; they were 14 points clear of 2nd place.

The first race was the hardest event; the individual medley, which consists of 1 length of each of the 4 strokes. Fraser Lyne broke the previous school record by half a second!
The individual races ran smoothly with lots of personal bests, but Otters held the lead throughout. The bottom 3 spots were fairly level.

The relays were full of excitement and there were a lot of close finishes. Tigers ended up performing the best in the relays, which helped nudge them into 2nd  place ahead of the
Owls and Panthers. The U13 Panther patrol finished on a high, winning the last relay, but the Owls were just ahead by 1 point.
