Something Special

Our Reception children had a wonderful Something Special Day' to celebrate each individual - and they all looked brilliant wearing their special clothes from home.

The day started off with a special party. Mrs Lewis said: “We are very aware that many of the children have missed out on birthday parties this year and we wanted to do something special for the children and help them celebrate. We had party games, delicious treats (including birthday cake!) followed by orienteering in our stunning woods to make it a celebration to remember.”

After their adventure in the woods, Mr Hanley, Sports Teacher, told us: “All the children brought in a photo of themselves doing something they love or with something they love - like reading or animals. Mrs Pullen and I hid the photos in the woods. The children were then split into three different groups and they worked together in teams to spot the hidden photos. They all managed to find the complete set of their group’s photos but the best thing about this orienteering exercise was seeing how excited the children were when they found each other’s photographs.”
