Year 2 have been embracing all things ’Spring like' since being back at school. Most importantly they celebrated their amazing mothers by compiling a video for them, showing their woodland art creations at forest school and then talking about all the reasons they love their mums! These ranged from their fantastic roast potatoes to their beauty, hugs and wonderful mummy smell!
During the last week they have focussed on Spring poetry, floral art and Easter cards for the local community.
Year 2 took part in the HPL Global Art Competition. This year’s theme was ‘Empathy,’ (one of our High Performance Learning strands). We discussed empathy in relation to the past year and the children created some fantastic art work based on thinking of others, helping each other and working together as a team.
