Four Year 7 pupils took part in the Southern Heat of the Kids' Lit Quiz: Isabelle A, Raph G, Bea H and Fin S.
The Kids' Lit Quiz is an annual literature quiz for students aged 10 - 13 years. Quizzes are held around the world including Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, Indonesia, New Zealand, Nigeria, Singapore, South Africa, Thailand, United Kingdom and USA! The winning team from each heat competes in a National Final. National champions compete in the World Final.
In our heat fixture, our team was the youngest there and so we were really proud when they came third out of 17 schools, winning 4/10 rounds, the most of any school present. The heat was scored on points not rounds, otherwise Westbourne House would have won!
It was a great experience and the pupils were justifiably pleased with their result and came home with prizes. Well done to all involved.
