Our Year 1 children had a fabulous trip to East Head beach, where they were met by guides from the Chichester Harbour Conservancy.
The guides were full of interesting facts to share with the children and introduced them to the different features of the seashore, the process of erosion and how to be safe when visiting the beach.
The children moved down on to the sand and took part in a sandcastle building competition to track the movement of the tide. They then searched for different types of shells and created huge art collages. Finally, they had a welcome picnic lunch before heading back to school tired but happy!
