The children in Reception had a fabulous day taking their teddy bears on a picnic in the woods.
At the beginning of this term, each child brought in his or her own teddy from home as part of the If You Go Down to the Woods Today topic. The teddies have stayed in school, waiting and hoping to go on a teddy bears' picnic!
This week, after making our own honey sandwiches and disguising ourselves as teddy bears, we scooped up our furry friends and set off to the woods.
The children had a wonderful time, bathed in dappled light through the trees, talking about their teddies, introducing their bear to the other children and bears, and eating delicious sandwiches. The children enjoyed writing about it when they got back to school.
