Junior Maths Challenge - Kangaroo Round

At the end of April, pupils in Years 7 and 8, as well as some pupils in Year 6, sat the Junior Maths Challenge. This is a national competition with around 300,000 pupils taking part each year, competing to answer challenging mathematical problems.  You can read how we got on here.

The top performing 10,000 pupils in the country were invited to the next stage called the Kangaroo Round. This year, five of our pupils made it through and competed in the competition in June.  Now the results have come in!

Of those invited through to the Kangaroo Round, the top 25% receive Merits. Two of our pupils received Merits, which is a fantastic achievement.

Congratulations to these two pupils:

It is very exciting that these pupils are performing so well in a truly national competition and it puts them in the top 1% of pupils in the country. Well done!
