Triumphant Guys and Dolls

A wave of energy and colour burst into the Millennium Hall theatre and kept us enthralled for three wonderful hours where everyday life was left behind and the children took us on a gangster and gambling journey into the New York underworld of the 1920s and 30s.

It was an incredible, all singing, all dancing, vibrant musical show from our Year 8 pupils. An unforgettable night of extraordinary performances.

The costumes, the props, the scenery, the line delivery, the accents, the songs, the band and the characterisation - it was a triumph on so many levels. Congratulations to all our Year 8 pupils, Mr Cousens and Mr Dichmont and all the team.

"I can say no more, other than it was totally terrific.”

Mr Barker, Headmaster

The Year 8 team pulled off this fantastic feat in just 11 days.  That's 11 days to learn everything - lines, dance routines, backstage, lighting and sound cues, costume changes, prop positions etc.

Massive congratulations to this amazing year group - what a fabulous show to mark the culmination of your final week at Westbourne House School.

"I am unbelievably proud of Year 8 and I hope Year 8 are proud of themselves too."

Mr Cousens, Head of Drama
