Joy and gratitude filled the Millennium Hall as the Watoto Children's Choir from Uganda sang, danced and captured our hearts.
Every child in the choir is either an orphan or has parents who cannot look after them. It was a spellbinding performance and so full of hope. Watoto is a charity based in East Africa which rescues vulnerable children and women by giving them a safe place to live and a new family.
It is a charity the school has supported in the past, and it was wonderful to welcome back the choir.
"A Watoto village is a safe place where orphaned and vulnerable children can truly experience the love of a family. The villages provide homes, families and holistic care to over 3,000 children who receive everything they need to grow up healthy and whole—food, clothing, medical care, education and most of all the love of a mother."
