We are delighted that once again Westbourne House School has been named one of the best schools for cricket in the UK by The Cricketer’s Schools Guide 2025.
“It is great that Westbourne House School is featured in such a prestigious list of schools for the second year in a row. It really highlights the strength of our cricketing programme and our commitment to cricket at all levels, developing skills and building a love of this fantastic sport.”
Head of Boys’ Sport, Brandon Hanley
Head of Girls’ Sport, Clare Cook, said: "The girls’ game is going from strength to strength with keen cricketers eager to play competitive hardball matches. We are investing in new pitches as to match the demand.
"Cricket is such a fundamental part of summer life at Westbourne House School from a Year 2 pupil having their first go at soft ball to the Westbourne Dads enjoying a game in the evenings on our pitches."
Head of Girls’ Sport, Clare Cook
"Our children love playing cricket every day, throughout the summer. Pupils are in the nets at every opportunity - every break and lunch time – and the walk to the next lesson, even without a ball, is often used to keep shoulders warm and bowling technique sharp!"
All entries were judged against an extensive set of criteria, which included a compelling commitment to cricket in the curriculum, facilities, fixture programmes and coaching.
Thank you to The Cricketer - we are very proud.
