Our Year 5 pupils enjoyed an action-packed day at the Winchester Science Centre. Science teacher Mr Brown said: "In the workshop, they were tasked with making slime whilst demonstrating their knowledge of the three states of matter. This prompted much debate as slime, of course, is a non-Newtonian fluid, which does not follow Newton’s Law of viscosity.
"Another treat for the children was a highly engaging talk in the planetarium with a focus on the planets in our solar system. It was a chance to sit back, relax and be transported on a magical journey through space.
"For me the highlight is always when the children get chance to head off and explore the interactive exhibits. There are two sections, the first looks at sound, hearing and vibrations and the second focusses on Space and the exhibits did not disappoint. One of our pupils, Emma, enjoyed finding her home in Tokyo via an amazing Google Earth simulator and, all in all, we all had a really stimulating trip."
