First of all, we have a summary from Year 8 pupils, Honor Pu and Lucy P:
During our last few weeks of Year 8, we visited Badminton Woods in Gloucester for our residential. We made so many great memories by being challenged by the staff in things we have never done before. This included gutting salmon for our dinner, knife skills, first aid, surviving in the woods, not to mention the several tick checks! This made our last few weeks so special and brought our year much closer together, before we all head off to our new schools.
Mr Forsyth added:
From axe throwing and archery to camp fire sing songs, the Year 8s made the most of their time in the woods. It was actually a really relaxing few days and everyone, all of whom have worked so hard, made the most of the time to chill out and chat with friends. They were keen to take part in the activities such as building shelters in the woods and we even found six willing volunteers for the bush-tucker-style challenge of eating a fish eye! It was a fantastic, memorable experience.
