How do you get inspiration to make a sculpture of an imaginative critter? A trip to Marwell Zoo of course!
Our Year 5 pupils explored and sketched at the zoo, gathering ideas, watching how the animals’ bodies worked, sketching fur, feathers and scales and starting to imagine how they can take different animals parts and combine them together into an abstract creative sculpture.
Mrs Jeram said: “We had such a fabulous day studying and sketching at Marwell Zoo. I’m really looking forward to seeing this project develop and seeing all those unique and exciting critters!”
