Noah’s Arc & Animals
We will be making a ceramic model of Noah’s Arc and filling it with lots of different animals & birds, and the surrounding waters with mythical sea creatures & stormy waves. Pupils will use coloured slips and underglaze to decorate their work which will be fired and a clear glaze applied, before their pieces will be ready to collect from the school office a few weeks later.
- Monday 17th February, 9am-1pm (drop off from 8.45am).
- This activity is suitable for all ages from year one upwards.
- Maximum 12 per group.
- Please provide a drink and a snack. Lunch is not provided.
- Suitable clothing for an art activity should be worn - products used are washable and aprons will be provided but it can get messy.
- Cost £60 to include all materials
I can also run this activity as an afternoon session is numbers exceed the maximum.

Ceramic Figures
Inspired by Staffordshire flat back figure sculptures, pupils will make a figure; I’ll be making a pirate, but they can do whoever they like. They will make a plinth and a back plate, and decorate it with underglaze and slips. A clear glaze will be applied to their work after firing, and their figures will be ready to collect from the school office a few weeks later.
- Tuesday 18th February, 9am-1pm (drop off from 8.45am).
- Suitable for year 3 and above but can be adapted for younger children if keen.
- Maximum 12 per group.
