The inaugural OW tennis tournament took place on a glorious sunny Sunday morning, with the school grounds looking their very best with no sign of having been the venue of the school fair the previous day. It was the perfect culmination to a busy weekend with 20 players taking part in the mixed doubles round robin tournament, encouraged by the support of a fair few spectators, who not only enjoyed the tennis but also the spectacular Westbourne match tea. The standard of the tennis was really impressive with an exciting finals between William and Emily Dodd and Tim and Phoebe Perry, the latter narrowly winning the tournament.
Thank you to all those who helped prepare and serve the match tea, the organisers and to all those who turned up to play or watch the first of what we hope will be an annual tennis event.
