At the Westbourne School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, our Year 4 pupils made potions and explosions in science.
The potions the children worked on in the science labs all included chemical reactions:
🎇 how to add colours to their firework spells using metal elements
🧪 how to make a potion with colourful bubbles that rise and fall (a bit like a lava lamp)
đź’Ą how to make an explosion charm in a wizarding battle.
At the start of term, Mrs Davies, Head of Year 4, said: “Herein lies an exciting term ahead, full of mystery, imagination and creativity!” and looking at the work being produced and feeling the excitement in the air, we think the Year 4 teachers’ spells are lighting fires in the children’s imaginations.
